In conjunction with the Director, the Education Coordinator is responsible for the overall administration and supervision of the education component of the "Early Learn" program at Seabury Day Care Center. Other essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Monitor the implementation of the curriculum and all NYC DOH and ACS Early Learn requirements in each classroom.
In conjunction with the Director, supervise staff assigned to the classrooms. In conjunction with the Director, observe classrooms on a daily basis and provide feedback to teaching staff based on these observations.
In conjunction with the Director, plan and implement in-service training for all staff.
Work with the Director to develop and maintain a high quality educational program which complies with the Head Start performance standards, NYC UPK requirements, and all other regulatory agencies.
Offer recommendations to the Director in order to assist her to develop a plan for the professional growth of each staff member through regular meetings and individual conferences with classroom personnel.
Work with the Director and custodians to ensure that the safety and health of the children and facility are regularly monitored, maintained, and documented.
